Globe Express Services® (Overseas Group), one of the world’s top 100 logistics providers, recently collaborated with three famous Chinese universities to launch its “GES Future CEO” scholarship program, extending financial support to one hundred students in China. On November 11, November 25 and December 9, GES presented “GES Future CEO” scholarship awards to winners at Dalian Maritime University, Shanghai Maritime University and Nankai University.

This scholarship program again demonstrates GES’ people-oriented corporate culture. Through this program, the company hopes to encourage and support outstanding students who need financial aid to realize their dreams and aspirations. The “GES Future CEO” annual scholarship fund is $47,400 (USD) in total, which is used to support one hundred excellent students. Grants of $16,600 (USD) to Nankai University and Dalian Maritime University are matched by the Chinese government, so the universities can generate double sponsorship to develop education. In honor of GES’s founder Mr. Pierre Y. Abou Khater personal mission to “Provide more opportunities to oriental women,” 70% of scholarship funding will be granted to female students.

GES CEO Ziad Korban commented on the significance of the program: “With this scholarship, we hope to support and encourage the entrepreneurship of university students. We’re inspired by the thought that this opportunity could change their lives.”
